Employment Experience:
Brad Swee began his career as a Vice President Controller for Northern Financial Corporation in 1988. It was only after 2 years that Swee decided he wouldn’t settle for a bank and realized the better service and savings credit unions offer. In 1990, Swee joined the credit union movement as CEO at H.P.C. Credit Union in Alpena, Michigan, moved to CEO of Delta County Credit Union in Escanaba, MI from 1994-2003 and has remained a credit union CEO for almost 20 years.
As President and CEO for Meijer Credit Union, Swee is responsible for overseeing asset and liability management, investments, and the planning of the strategic direction of the credit union. Since 1994, he has been Treasurer of CU Corporation, a subsidiary of the Michigan Credit Union League. Swee was also a past Chairman of the Upper Peninsula Chapter of Credit Unions from 2001 to 2003.
Swee obtained his Associates Degree in Accounting at Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba, Michigan in 1985. He then completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Accounting in 1987 at Lake Superior State University where he received the Board of Control Academic Scholarship.
