Employment Experience:
Cathy Ellis joins Meijer Credit Union after a 24-year career in financial, operational, and information systems audit.  She began her career at Wisconsin Electric Power Co. and moved to Michigan in the spring of 1991 to marry her husband and begin work at the Meijer Corporate Office.  Ellis joined the credit union movement as a member in 1991, joined Meijer CU in 1992,  and began volunteering on the Meijer CU Supervisory Committee in 1996.  Cathy was a director on the Meijer CU Board since 2006 until becoming CFO at Meijer CU.

Ellis' strong leadership skills coupled with her diverse financial and operational background makes her the perfect fit for Meijer CU.  As CFO, her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, financial management, internal controls, budget, and day-to-day operations.  In addition, she works closely with the CEO and Business Development Officer on the managing, reporting, and setting the overall strategic vision of Meijer CU.

Ellis graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 1983 with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.  She is also a Certified Public Accountant (State of Wisconsin).
