Meijer Credit Union believes it is important to support the communities that support us. Below we have shared examples of how we get involved with our communities. Please check back often to stay up-to-date on all the things your credit union does in your communities!
Donations and Community Involvement
In 2016, Meijer Credit Union gave back to the local community by donating and community involvement. In October, we raised money and participated in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. In November, we collected donations for a Winter Outer Apparel Drive to give to local charities. During the holidays we volunteered to be a drop off location for Toys for Tots and made Christmas Cards to give to the Grand Rapids Veteran Home. We enjoy being involved in our community. We are always looking for new ways to give back, please contact us if you have any recommendations.
Feeding America of West Michigan
We recently (month of August) visited Feeding America of West Michigan. We helped package food products to be shipped to under privileged and hungry children and families in West Michigan. In our two visits this month we created over 4,000 meals to help those in need. Feeding America of West Michigan exists to ensure safe food is available to the hungry in our community. They serve an estimated 492,000 people in west Michigan and the upper peninsula. If anyone would like to volunteer and be a part of the hunger solution they can visit www.feedingamericawestmichigan.org.
